Lodge Pole Cast Iron Skillet
A good cast iron pan is a good friend to Plant Powered People. Two main reasons. For one, when cooking with cast iron you will get more iron in your diet. This is great as you get that iron from the pan rather than an agricultural product. Second, cast iron makes preparing lots of meals easy because cast iron, if treated well, is a healthy non-stick pan. The cast iron skillet has a “seasoned” finish that makes the cast iron nonstick. Washing gently with hot water and a little suds is all that’s needed. Then the pan should be re-moistened with a little cooking oil to keep the pan conditioned. The effort is well worth it.
