Field Roast Smoked Apple & Sage Plant-Based Sausages
Field Roast makes a variety of plant-based products including meat and cheese alternatives. One favorite are their sausages which are vary versatile. They can be sautéed in a pan and eaten like an sausage or hot dog. Sliced into rounds they are terrific in pasta sauce as a substitute for ground meat.
They are made from vegetable protein and other ingredients like in this case apples and sage to add tremendous flavor. They also store well as they are individually wrapped so you can use one at a time or even two like my husband did before I could take this picture.
These sausages are sure to satisfy and when served to unsuspecting non-vegetarians they can’t tell the difference to a gourmet specialty sausage.
